My Favourite Foundations

Hello lovelies! I wanted to share with you some of my favourite foundations that I have been wearing for quite some time now, and since we are in “Holiday Season” aka party season, our foundation needs to look FLAWLESS ;) Over the last year I had experimented with many brands of foundation. With so many different finishes, coverage levels and shades available, shopping for a perfect foundation is overall tough (and at the same time overwhelming!). I firmly believe that the ultimate goal in choosing a foundation is to choose one that looks like your skin but BETTER!!! So, below I have rounded up my 3 favourite foundations.

 Nars Sheer Glow Foundation: Ladies, this is quite simply an amazing foundation! Because this foundation is a water based foundation you only need to apply a small amount (it can be a bit runny). I found applying this foundation was incredibly easy, but once again because it is water based it took a little longer to set on my face but once it did it was beautiful! I always wear this foundation with a primer (Smashbox’s Photo Finish) and it leaves my skin looking glowy (primer is a must for a beautiful finish). Nars Sheer Glow Foundation is described as a medium finish. Almost always I prefer a full coverage foundation but, this foundation has just the right amount of coverage for my skin to hide any blemishes etc. I can wear this foundation all day and it still looks gorgeous but again, I do wear a primer and ALWAYS set my foundation with a setting powder. Currently, I am using the Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder. 

YSL Touche Eclat: First off, can we just all agree anything by YSL is going to be AMAZING (insert hands up emoji!). I am a HUGE fan of YSL (handbags and shoes included) this brand just speaks to me so I’m going to have a bias opinion when writing this review to you (fyi!). I’ve worn this foundation for quite some time now and it feels so light on my skin and yet it is described as medium coverage. After wearing this foundation, the coverage and finish is nothing short of stunning with a flawless and natural radiance that makes me looked airbrushed. Also, the staying power of this foundation quite surprised me because of its light weight formula. With a primer, this foundation lasted me 8-10 hrs. Touch Eclat is so comfortable to wear it sometimes looks like I’m not wearing any foundation at all. 

 Estee Lauder Double Wear- I saved the BEST for last! Estee Lauder in general has been iconic in the makeup industry for years, but the real reason I tested out this foundation was because Kendall Jenner had become the face of the brand (who by the way is my favourite model at the moment). Double Wear foundation is my HOLY GRAIL that I cannot live without. It looks amazing on my skin and covers all my flaws and does not move. I repeat does not move! It is a FULL coverage foundation (umm yes please… make me look like Kendall) that you will not have to reapply at any point in your day or evening. It is water proof, sweat proof and oily proof and heat proof (for those hot summer months). I cannot say enough good things about this foundation I would totally recommend trying it out. You won’t regret it! The only one complaint I have is that it does not come with a pump, so I went to MAC cosmetics to pick one up!
