The Teddy Coat Trend

My philosophy is you can never have enough coats especially if you live in the eastern hemisphere where temps drop below freezing on a regular basis. A coat that I have been obsessing over lately is the teddy coat in the preferred neutral “teddy” colour. This coat is made with super soft plush textures and make it an ideal topper for any outfit –casual or elevated. 

This particular style had hit the fashion scene last year but, I feel like this year it really took off and everyone has been trying to get their hands on one. If you haven’t added this style coat to your wardrobe you definitely need to. The teddy bear coat is a versatile piece for your daytime commute to work or for a night on the town. You can easily throw it over a pair of denim, tights, and wear it with a chunky knit sweater and a pair of boots. It gives off all the “cozy vibes” this winter. And to be honest, it really doesn’t matter how basic your outfit is, it’s a great addition that will make you stand out!

I purchased my teddy coat from TopShop at Hudson’s Bay . I paired mine in a very causal way with tights and over the knee boots for a weekend look.
