Beauty Products I Do Not Travel Without

To wear makeup or not wear makeup? This is a very serious question when running through airports and wanting to look your best, ESPECIALLY upon arrival. In the past, I was one of those girls who would wear a full face of makeup. I’m talking foundation, powders etc.. you name it, I wore it. Recently, I found my skin was just not cooperating during travel. And, to be quite honest, my makeup would be looking quite sloppy by the time I arrived at my final destination. So, I had to change my travel beauty routine. Just to be clear, before reading on, I’m not suggesting to go bare-faced on an airplane but, there are some products that are more “airplane and skin friendly” that I use before take off (more below).

But first, let’s talk about the importance of hydrating your skin. Airplanes have very low humidity levels which means, you’ll notice a skin change because there is little moisture in the air. I bring with me cream-based makeups and moisturizing products to help with this. After a long flight my skin NEEDS MOISTURE, if not, my skin becomes red, flakey and will be prone to breakouts (no thank you!). Below are some of my favourite beauty products that I do not travel without (all in travel size of course;).

Caudalie Beauty Elixir- Literally a spa in a bottle! One spritz of this cult beauty favourite, and I have a smoothing glowing complextion. It feels so good, especially after a long flight. I even sprayed my husband’s face with it..he loved it! #imobsessed

Tatcha The Water Cream- I’ve been using this moisturizer for a while now and I absolutely love it. It’s very hydrating and refreshing and does not have a greasy finish.

Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask – A TRAVEL MUST! This cream can be used under the eyes or all over your face as a makeup primer/ mask. I typically wear mine under my eyes before bed, and when travelling on a long over night flight. I wake up with less puffy eyes, and skin instantly looks radiant.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer – I wear this tinted moisturizer on its own. I need to have some sort of coverage on my face when travelling even if it’s only a “light coverage” like this one. When I’m not travelling, I combine it with my foundation.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer- Holy Grail product! The only concealer I’ve been wearing for years. It’s no surprise that I cannot leave this miracle concealer at home. It is proven to last up to 16 hours and helps to hide dark circles.

Nars The Multiple in Orgasm- Basically an all-in-one makeup stick. You can pat this on your eyes, cheek or lips. I use a bit on my cheeks to give them a nice pink glow and highlight.

Lastly, (and not pictured) lipstick. I always have a lipstick on to hydrate my lips. I’m a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks and usually travel with an ABUNDANCE of them ( still working on that;)

Do you have any beauty travel favourites? I would love to know. Let me know in the comments if there is one you think I should try ;)
